I was driving to work and saw a guy on bike gong down the sidewalk on one of these:



(Not my pic. But pretty close to this.)

There was a parade downtown today, and he was riding about 20 minutes from downtown, so I figure he probably took part in that.

In some cities/states, bike helmets are now required by law. I don't know how you would get away with a "period" look and still be legal, unless somebody makes helmets that look like bowlers?
