Pokemon GO - Making normal people look like creepy stalkers!
Hold still, while I flick my pokeballs at you.
The sad thing is, I'm probably going to download it, too.
I have a friend who was using it, so he and his wife took a walk. They ended up at the local park, and afterwards they realized what they must have looked like to the parents of the kids there, pointing their phones everywhere.
The servers are crap right now. Also, it needs a friend list and trading. Once those are sorted out it will be a good game. Everyone's doing it right now though and I don't know how long it will last, so if you're going to try it I guess that now would be the time.
"This is a really weird game, and you’ll find that most people will not want to play this."
And half of ChitChat has no idea how popular this game is right now. Here is a hint: Don't invade your local police station:
A new smartphone game is challenging Pokémon fans to venture into the real world to "catch 'em all," which is concerning some police officers in Australia.
Pokémon GO uses augmented reality to place creatures and items in real locations, including the Eiffel Tower, Shinjuku Station, and... Darwin Police Station in Australia.
In a Facebook post, the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services asks players not to go hunting inside the station, saying that they merely need to be close to the building to collect their goodies.
As you walk through the world, Pokémon GO uses your phone's GPS to alert you when you're close to a creature. When you turn on the camera, the Pokémon appears overlaid on whatever your phone sees, and players can flick Pokéballs with their fingers to capture them.

Yes, I really am that awesome.
OK I've caught 5 pokemon but I don't get it. It says "pokemon nearby" but I have no idea how to figure out where the hell they are, I just never see them unless I use my incense, and when I do nothing seems to work better than just sitting there and waiting for them to show up. Is there some way you know where to go to find them?
I went to a pokestop with my daughter but the servers crashed or something because I could spin the thing but it just stayed blank, and when I tapped the ">" button I got a big blank screen. Then the app crashed a few minutes later and it won't log me in again.
So, it seems like it could be really cool...but so far, not. Except that my fox creature (eevee? Something like that) is nice.
