Apparently HAsbro has decided to kill off Mrs. White permanently and replace her with another character.

Is she truly being killed off or just not in the game? Hard to tell from the articles. Being replaced by Dr. Orchid which is purple-ish, not unlike Professor Plum.

And FWIW why is the U red in the title on the new board game?

As long as the victim is still called doctor Black it is probably not racially motivated

Dr Orchid?

What the hell colour is her counter supposed to be? Black? Pink?

Also how is this the classic game when theyve just bumped off one of the iconic characters and given everyone jobs and backgrounds?

RIP Mrs. White.
You were my character when you were innocent, and when you committed murder.
Good Bye.

Was doing some research and was surprised to discover the following.

Not only has the roster changed over the years of the character, thought not their names, no less than three iterations of Miss Scarlett have been asian and several EU versions have her asian too.

So aside from the name change its actually nothing new.
And originally Mr Green was Reverend Green. Ms White Was originally an elderly cook, later sometimes a housekeeper, a young maid, etc.

And even an african american.

Haha, I think you meant lawyer. Do you have pics of the other 5? Info for Cluedo: The Classic Mystery is pretty scarce

I also like to note, Dr Orchid appears to be a Lady Lavendar, the asian one into poisons and getting rich off herbs

So typical Hasbro.

They should leave the game in its original setting. Year 30's perhaps 40's.

You don't set Hercule Poirot either in the 2010's ...

Mystery and the setting of early to mid 1900's are fine.
