Does Noelle die after getting a single hit? Or does the 3 on her stand represent the number of hits until she dies? It's not entirely clear from just looking at her marker, now can I find anything on the reference card nor the Farmingdale Dossier that suggests a number of hits before she dies.

(Yes, I know she gets a saving throw.)

The different numbers on Noelle and the Infected Vermin suggest they take different numbers of hits, 3 and 2, respectively, to kill them, but, as I said, I can't find anything that clarifies this for me.

If the numbers don't indicate hits, what's the purpose of them?

The number is the unit's strength, just like any other unit. They can attack your units and be attacked in melee, so they have a strength. They also can join other zeds or even a zeds mob. They take one hit to eliminate.

Doh! Yeah, I realized after I posted this question that it was likely their strength.

Thanks!

Yep, the little "x" under their markers' strength ratings shows that the first hit eliminates them.

After you hit them, they also get a Saving Roll: On a 1, 2 or 3 they go back to the Start space of their track. -The Farmingdale Dossier page 2.
