I play in a gamer group and there are consistently 5 of us who play. I'd love to hear from people which games they enjoy to be played with 5.

Some games we already play (so you know what we like)...
- Blood Rage
- Lords of Waterdeep
- Roll for the Galaxy
- Eldrich Horror
- Eclipse
- Xia: Legends of a Drift System

Looks like you like thematic games with a heavy dose of strategy. So, i'll put forth Kemet and Cyclades.

just played Eminent Domain with 5 and it worked very well. I liked it a lot, of course with expansions.

also my group loves terra mystica, show manager, modern art.

I particularly like outpost, Lancaster, caverna though.

edit: oh and OF COURSE SCYTHE!

No idea if you enjoy social deduction at all, but there are some fantastic five-player games with hidden traitor mechanics, such as:

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game: A thoroughly-discussed classic.
Dark Moon: Very similar to BSG, but more streamlined (or pared-down, depending on who you ask).
Homeland: The Game: An overlooked but still excellent choice.
V-Wars: Vampires vs. humans, certainly unique.
Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game: Big focus on the narrative elements.

Since you seem to enjoy worker placement, there are a couple that I really love:

Argent: The Consortium: One of my favorite games; runs a little long with five, but if you're cool with 5p Xia, that probably won't bother you.
Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem: Worker placement via negotiation and bluster. Only plays with four unless you pick up one of the expansions.

And a few miscellaneous recommendations:

Kemet: Lots of conflict, lots of picking up powers.
Clockwork Wars: You'd need the expansion to play with five, but this is one of the best dudes-on-hexes / worker-placement-ish games of the past year.
Millennium Blades: Plays great with five. A modern classic if you've ever been interested in collectible card games.
Mare Nostrum: Empires: Trading in the Mediterranean might sound blah, but this is surprisingly slick.
Scythe: Because everyone is playing it and it's actually surprisingly good.

Wow, no one has mentioned Dominant Species yet. This is an awesome strategic game that goes up to 6 players. Basically a mix of worker placement, area control, and war game.

+1 El Grande
+1 Santiago

Citadels is also quite good with 5. Hidden role selection each round, etc.

Fury of Dracula ... the rules can be a little wonky but there's an FAQ here for that. And I'm always available by GeekMail for rules questions as well.

If you're looking for something lighter, I've been playing a lot of Stockpile lately and enjoying it. You can play it with two to five players but it works best with five.

Oh, completely forgot:

Glory to Rome

Excellent game, although probably not worth the price it is currently demanding on the secondary OOP market.

Same comment goes for:

Container which is getting a reprint next year from what I hear (finally).
