I'm looking for games that need nothing else in order to be played than the players, (paper+pencil games also accepted)

There's a whole chapter describing such games in the book "gladestone's games to go", a great book that more people should know about. There is a bgg entry for the book here:

The word game "Attack" was played in the trenches in WWI. It's one of our recurring favorites; we always play it on long car trips.

1. Someone starts with two letters, and say these two letters out loud. The letters should _not_ constitute a two-letter word (you cannot start with 'be' or 'to'), but they should occur next to one another in a word that you can name.

2. Next person adds one letter, either in the front or at the back. Same rules; you should _not_ complete a word, but the letter sequence should occur in a word that you can name (or you bluff, see below).

Repeat this until:

- the person whose turn it is gives up and loses a point. This happens when a legal word obviously can be made, but adding a letter would finish it. If you're on 'cowbo', it is difficult (for me at least) to see any other alternatives than 'cowboy', and adding the 'y' would finish the word.

- the person whose turn it is says "Attack!" which sort of translates into "I believe you're bluffing!". The person who added the last letter then either admits to bluffing (and loses a point) or reveals the word, and if the word is deemed OK, the person who said "Attack" loses a point.

In a car, we normally play to 5 points, so that when you get to 5 points, you're out, and the rest continue without you.

I have two friends who used to play 3D tic-tac-toe verbally, in their heads, with no board! I would find it impossible to keep track of that many pieces in my mind. And this was when they were kids!

Oh yes, they both are maths geniuses.
