Plan to post reports from the game as it progresses. Finally got some reliable free time! Only thing really new is the maps being redone as adhesive vinyl. To save time, only going to post this update to imgur, might switch to here later.

Joe - this looks pretty awesome. How big did you end up making the maps?

The Europe and Asia maps are 4' by 12', the hexes are large enough to support the slightly enlarged counters. Works pretty well. The Amreicas are 6' by 4'.

Hello Joe,

very impressive work. What kind of adhesive magnetic tape did you use, that the counters can be stacked? And how many counters can you stack until they fall off the maps?

Regards,
Henning

Honestly, not sure on the type of tape - I found it on ebay, and it was surplus, so the manufacturer wasn't listed. It came in half inch rolls of about 10 meters each, and I went through ~15. I can stack six without issue, max is about 12, but that makes it so a tiny tap can send them to the ground - so I keep it at six.

Thanks for the compliments, happy to answer any other questions,

Thanks,

Joe

Thank you very much for your reply. I will use your work as inspiration to finally engage my own project of upgrading a monster game with magnets.

I just wondered about the type of tape, because I once had a product, which was only magnetised on one side and could not be stacked.
