Game development

After months of gathering feedback from the alpha testing, the gameplay mechanics are almost complete. Now the important thing that remains is to combine the gameplay and incorporate it in a multiple scenario. We have to ensure a smooth transition between early missions where you still learn the game and late game mission which will require greater skills, tactics and gear.

Content development

That’s where we are focusing right now. One of the most important elements of the game for us is to create a believable world where our characters exist. The universe of Ironclad is going to be full of different planets inhabited by multiple alien species. There are going to be five different factions, each one with a distinguished function and role in the context of the game and the story. The forms of governments, the structure of each society, the interaction between them , the alliances and rivalries, all these are elements which we want to present to you with as much clarity as possible. This world will be the core of the campaign scenario. Each mission will have specific objectives that will change your reputation with each of these factions.

Each faction will come with exceptional individuals, which depending on your standing with their faction, will side with you if you’re their ally, or fight against you if you’re their enemy.

Allied factions will shower you with gifts and benefits and your enemy factions will hunt you down with extreme prejudice.

We’re aiming to create a dynamic campaign, where players’ choices matter and make an impact. Will I capture the defector scientist and return him to his original masters, or will I bring him instead to the rival faction and force him to work for a new master? Will I set him free and face the consequences?

Well, given our influences, it will be at least as dark as the Star Wars storyline. War by itself is a very dark subject. We will actively avoid being graphic in our description, but in general, we are creating a futuristic setting where our universe is ravaged by war, corruption, sometimes tragedy, but we will also show heroism, altruism, self sacrifice.
