Just as the subject says... I am slowly trying to get my family to play more games... My sister loves Spyfall. They have all liked Bang the dice game... I am looking for something ticket to ride style.... Very gateway but something that is not a filler or a party game... But that plays 8.
Please give me some recommendations

Requirements:
Plays 8
Not a filler or party game
Plays in less than 90 min ( I think an hour is pushing it too... But for the sake of finding some good games I will take 90 min or less game reccomendations.

Thanks so so much in advance!!!!!

"Filler" and "Party" are definitely subjective categories.

A couple of games to check out
The Resistance
Camel Up

But my main recommendation would be to break into two groups of 4 players each. There are a lot more games that are great with 4 than there are that are great with 8.

This is a tall order, but here's my 2 cents.

Camel Up
Space Cadets: Dice Duel

I hope you find something your family likes!

All the good ones have been mentioned. I'll +1 all the ones mentioned above.

I might add Tsuro for something simple to teach and maybe Steampunk Rally, but that might be heavier than what you're looking for.

Steampunk Rally
Space Cadets: Dice Duel
Camel Up

...all sprang to mind. Of the three I'd say Camel Up is the only true "gateway" game, the others being in the more gateway plus category. All excellent, especially Steampunk Rally, which always goes over a storm at my game group due to minimal down time (even with 8!)

Two that came to mind areIncan Gold and The Great Dalmuti but might be to much of a filler though, although both are great games.

Eh, you may have your heart set on an 8-player game, but especially to play in under 90 minutes (and to eliminate discouraging amounts of downtime), you may just be better off with two simultaneous four-player sessions. You could actually play TTR, instead of "something ticket to ride style."

I haven't played my copy yet so I can't officially endorse it, but Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space plays up to eight

As others have mentioned, 8 players for a non-party game is really difficult. Especially since party game is subjective.

Team ticket to ride is a fantastic way to play TTR, and will handle 8 people fine. I have played team rules on the USA map if you don't want to to play on the Asia map (it's more familiar a setting for most people), and it works fine. This is a great gateway game that meets your requirements.

Check out Captain Sonar as well.

Some of these were already mentioned, but here are some I like:
Formula D
Pitchcar
Saboteur
Dixit - will need two versions/boxed sets for 8 or play as teams
Coup (with expansion goes to 10)
Cosmic Encounter (expansions take this up to 8 or more)
Mafia de Cuba
Dark Moon (might cap off at 7 players)
