I'm going on a short vacation trip to Lübeck today and will be staying there part of the week. Of course, going to Germany, the Birthplace of the Euro-game, I'd like to visit some gamestores!
The ones I think I've found in Lübeck and wonder if they are still operating (and are indeed boardgame-stores) are:
http://www.rappelkiste-luebeck.de/ (Seems to be three different locations, but the website doesn't say much)
I've also found a thread where there seems to be talk about another shop I guess is called 'Spiel und Toys' but I can't find any information about that. (Or am I missunderstanding the german in the thread? :what:
I also found one called "Spieleburg Lübeck", but that seems to have closed in 2005:
Can anyone please confirm or deny if these stores are still operating?
And of course give me more recommendations!
(I will be staying at Radisson on Willy-Brandt-Allee, so preferably around that area, but any suggestions would be most appreciated!)
Gandalph should be still availabe.
The website shows that location:
Hi Andreas, and welcome to my beautiful Hometown.
Markus is richt, Gandalph is a good place to go. They have some small games in the front, but all the big games are in the back corner of the shop. Just be aware that there are events sometimes on Saturday where the access to the boardgame area in the shop is not accessable.
Gandalph normally sells boardgames for hardcore gamers. Unfortunatly alot of US-Franchises and less traditional German Board games in recent times.
Other options are bookstore "Hugendubel" (Königsstraße). They have more family games but also a few copies of "Oh my Goods". And there is also Karstadt (Shopping Center) selling Settlers, Carcassonne and co up in the toys area.
