Loving Hardcore History with Dan Carlin
Just finished my first game with 37 points.
Trying to figure out what to do differently to at least get close to 50.
Breaking down the potential scoring...
3 to start
Build all cities = 18 medals plus 9 for each time you developed = 27
3 points for diamonds possibly at most.
Let's say 5 times you defeat a Major insurgency.
And let's give us 3 medals in Money retained.
Maybe you developed 3 Government Cities for 3 medals.
That's 44 points. That means I'll have to have built at least 6 industries or transport.
That all seems REALLY difficult. Where are my numbers off? Not looking for strategy, persay, just curious about other solo scores breakdown and, honestly, if I'm missing any scoring opportunities.
You don't get points for Government Industries or Transport right?
My breakdown, incidentally...
Cities: 3 2 2 1 = 16 + 8 = 24
1 medal for 1 Major defeat
3 medals for 12,600 retained
1 medal for 1 Government city developed
5 medals for transpo and industry
Started in Nord Kivu and concentrated there.

Y Ddraig Goch Ddyry Gychwyn.
Come and join the fun in this months Solitaire Games on Your Table.
The closest I have come is 49 points although most of my scores are in the mid 40s.
9 major defeats (many in diamond regions)
1 government city
2 transport links and 7 industries that all link back to Bas Congo
I can't remember exactly how much money but I scored 3 points and was £1500 short of the next threshold.
In my four solo games I scored 43, 31, 69 and 51. The last two I benefitted from the "Swiss Bank" card which allowed me to buy lots of medals for $2,000 each. Otherwise I'm not sure of the total breakdown of points. I know I took advantage of buying a medal when I dropped out of the selling phase. And I'm sure some of the medals were gained by lucky rolls against major insurgents.
