The original game, I think, comes with an insert for cards and tokens.

Can this expansion take it's place in the original game box?

Can I, without just throwing everything together or using plastic bags, still keep everything in the original classic box and organized?

Thank you,

Yep.

Nope. Or rather, neither easily nor effectively.

Sort of.

There's plenty of room in the original insert for everything from the original game and 1910. However, some stuff will need to share space.

I find it easiest to bag everything, and have the trains share slots, and give the 1910 cards a couple of slots. However, you could also split the cards up, and share one color of train with some cards in each slot. I wouldn't do that, but if you're dead-set on not bagging anything, it'll work.

Looks plenty big enough for foam core so maybe I'll give that a try.

Thanks,

There are pictures of foamcore inserts that hold everything in the main TtR entry. There might even be instructions.

This is exactly what I do, and even Alvin & Dexter fit in there.

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

In your world, I have another name. You must learn to know me by it. That was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.

Base + 1910 fit nicely in my copy, even if it's snug.
small train and ticket cards aside...
slot 1: 1910 train cards (in a custom tuckbox made with transparency film)
slot 2: 1910 ticket cards (in a custom tuckbox made with transparency film)
slot 3: 2 bags of trains
slot 4: 2 bags of trains
slot 5: 1 bag of trains + baggie with scoring discs (I don't keep the discs in their designated spots)
The board fits right where it should, and the box top goes on just as it should.
