That's unfair in one action the Nordics can trap the Rusviet in their home base!

a Mech can travel with 4 workers or 6 from his mine to the tunnel ( 1 ) to the lake ( 2 ) to the mountain ( 3 ) and whats up with Rusviet?

And the Rusviet can't even approach the Nordic's homebase!

That will not trap the Rusviet. They can still get out by deploying their township mech or building their mine.

They won't lose anything if they use one of their other two ways out...

By the time the Nords can deploy that strategy, the Rusviets have almost certainly used one of the other methods of getting off of their home island. (Remember that the Rusviets have a 5-turn -- 4 with the right player mat -- path to the Factory, faster than anyone else in the game.)

If not, then the Rusviet player is playing very badly, and thus they are at a disadvantage.

Rusviet can still build a mine.

Rusviet can also still use their ability to go to the Factory from their Village.

My thoughts exactly. If the blue faction is able to build a mine and a mech and produce 4-6 workers surely the red team will be prepared by the time they arrive.

Also I don't know what strategy would involve sending all your workers towards an entire faction.

If anyone does this I'd like to know how it turns out haha

You don't lose anything. This is really a non-issue. (Joke?)

Either that, or someone who played badly as Rusviet against the Nords and is convinced "well, obviously the game is broken, that faction is too strong."

So instead of complaining that this isn't fair, how about playing the game many times and give some facts, based on actual results, about how the Rusviets can never win when Nordic is in the game.

It's still the beginning of the game, right? so, the Reds probably don't even have four Popularity yet, right? or they might have used their Encounter to build a mech using Popularity. when Red is already so close to zero Pop, what exactly is stopping them from attacking those four workers the first time they Produce?

INCORRECT. It has been stated by Jamey multiple times in these forums that if you are at 0 Popularity, you can move into spaces with workers and displace them.

Test
Ryudoowaru is right. You can't take an action if you can't pay the cost (in the Red boxes of an action), but Popularity loss from displacing a worker is not a cost, more like a side effect of you starting Battle against that faction.

This means Nordic has to at least
- Deploy a mech
- Build a mine
- Do at least 3 moves

By the time they are done with all this, if Russviet is still in their home turf, they aren't really playing.

They don't need a mine, they can move workers across rivers and deploy the mech outside of their homebase.

Sure, whatever, you are still racing against a faction with the fastest start in the game. Rusviet can be half way across the map spreading socialism in Saxony by the time you finish moving into position.

one nord mech vs two russian combat units should be nervous. one loss without riverwalk/mine would be embarrassingly similar to being sent to their room to work on a better attitude.
