...Because the big hand is on 11 and the small hand is very close to 3 (but not exactly), which would indicate a playtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes.

Yet, the typical playtime is 1 hour 55 minutes as printed underneath said clock.

Knowing how Jamey has left NOTHING to chance with his designs, how am I misreading the clock?? Or am I?

Or if the playtime has been 3 hours and 30 minutes (or any other time for that matter), would the clock still show the same time?...

I believe you are reading far too much into an icon of a clock.

I think it should be considered as a universal symbol of game time, in the same way as the little people can symbolise how many max. players the game is for (so even if they show 4 little silhouettes the game might be able to play 12 and they don't need to show 12 silhouettes). If a game only took 5 mins to play the symbol would be pointless as you wouldn't see anything on it...

This ^

The clock is just a symbol, not meant to show the playtime.

This is the correct answer.

I agree with Erik.

The truth is, it's just a generic clock icon. The informational part is the written time, 115 minutes, which is the average time to setup and play the game for all 750 multi-player playtests of Scythe.

Thank you for your replies. I'm at peace now

And including the setup time in the 1 hour 55 minutes was very thoughtful Jamey

Well then that's the case for all games. But then what do you do when playtime various from 45 minutes to 3 hours?

Print an animated GIF on the box, clearly.
