WOW! I am so out of touch with the beautiful game!
I had no clue Ibra had a transfer to Manchester United.
If he can play as well Ryan Giggs did at the same age, then great!
Other than that, I will have to something to pay special attention to in the upcoming campaign.

Thanks!

How do you feel Ibra joining Manchester United?

I think it's a great business move for Man United (unless he plays really badly). Zlatan'll sell lots of shirts and get lots of entertaining copy in the newspapers. Can he make the difference in a moribund Man U lineup? I'm not sure. He will have to work pretty hard and not just expect to get passes to tap in.

This will be his biggest challenge yet. But he made goals in Ajax, Italy x 3, Barcelona, and PSG. So I believe he will make some goals in ManU as well. But will it be enought for them to win PL. Or at least take a place in CL.

Zlatan has scored some incredible goals during his career, but this move gives me a bad feeling for the club. First, he's fairly old. Not many strikers have the same longevity as someone like Alan Shearer. I hope I'm wrong about this. Secondly, Man United's midfield was a mess last year. How the hell are they going to retain possession long enough to get Zlatan the ball???

(They could have signed me for nothing. I would have played for free, but noooooooooo...)

Yes, strikers needs a good midfield. Maybe they will be able to do it better this season.

First match with Zlatan is now this Saturday. Manchester United FC - Galatasaray SK.

So he was moved swiftly to open his account at ManU.
Of the other goals, did Wayne Rooney add to the tally?

Who? Just kidding. Rooney made 2 goals (1 penalty).
This was a nice match for ManU.

I have been a Rooney supporter since he arrived at United, as footballer. I am not commenting or speaking to his off the pitch life.

I have really liked the way Rooney plays the game. He has had some struggles but I think he has been a steady hand for United through some trials.

I look forward to the coming campaign. We shall see what they can do.

This was also José Mourinho first match as the manager. He walks away with a first match victory and trophy. Albeit the FA Shield, it still goes in the trophy case and is associated with his time at the helm wit MU.

One week to the first league match. (Clapping!) Here we go!
