Hello everybody,

I just share some thougths on some houserule I implemented since I think the game is really fun if not to easy and changed a little.

I increase vigour by 1 by all enemies. A

All monster have 6+ resistance.

Healing is only on 2+ than 4+ than 6+ for a wound (makes healer/heling more preicous)

Treasure is only found on 5-6 +. If rest, ambush is d10+average level of heroes, abush is on 9. So on lev 1 it is 8-9-10, lev 2 7-8-9-10 etc.

If rolling for ambush, it is always an ambush on a roll of 10 and never on 1.

Heroes have levels:
level 1: +1 skill
level 2: +1 reroll (can be on save or hit etc..)
level 3 : +1 skill
level 4 : +1 reroll (can be on save or hit etc..)
level 5 : +1 dice!

level is maxed by shardx2

Also monster level increses by average hero level aswell (level2: +1 additional vigour, level 3: +1 damage, level 4: save is 5+, level 5 : +1 vigour etc...

If a hero "dies" it loses d10 reknown (can lose level and skill).

What do you think about it?

Balázs

I've been toying with a leveling system also. None of this has been tested yet. Still kicking this around inside my brain.

1st Level: 3d6 (destiny die would be more strategic early on)
3rd Level: 4d6
5th Level: 5d6

I'd keep the rules as they are for gaining skills. However, I'm thinking about allowing all skills to carry over to the next quest and not be lost based on the number of shards gained.

I wouldn't add any vigor to the mobs. Instead I'm thinking of giving them a save like the heroes get when wounded. This could make them potentially even tougher to kill.

I've been also thinking about healing. I have read some variants, but haven't decided on the best way to house rule it yet.

I've done a flat 5+ save for baddies. I definitely prefer your healing and respite over what's there. IDK about the broader hero levels- how do the rerolls work, though?

I also use 6+ save for all. 5+ is tough.

Reroll means you can reroll any dice a turn once. (Save, hit roll, action etc)

We bump up healing by +1 if monsters are present and disallowed if you are pinned, this way you must unpin and move to safety to heal.

+1 healing with monsters and unpinning (makes agility more precious) is a good one, I take it as rule, thanks!!!
