Some solo plays and a new game this week...

Thursday
3x - CoB:TCG

Friday
1x - Viticulture Essential Edition - New!

Saturday
1x - Viticulture Essential Edition

The solo plays certainly helped boost my plays this week. I don't like that this year has been off to a slow start and my 10x10 is starting to look a little daunting. It has been a busy year with a variety of responsibilities competing for mine and my family's attention.

meeple Keep playing...

Another good week of gaming for me. July as a whole has been just wonderful

I played on 5 days, a total of 22 plays of 12 distinct games, one of them new-to-me. I won 11 of these plays (not bad!). Sadly, I did nothing for my 10x10 hardcore challenge and I am really starting to think I will not be able to complete it soblue

On Monday, I finally managed to get Wir sind das Volk! to the table. I bought it about a year ago, but it's not the easiest one to convince people to play. GF and I only played half a game, but we both really liked it, so yay for that

Tuesday, I pummeled the easy A.I. in a solo game of Tiny Epic Galaxies. Let's try a harder one next time

On Wednesday, GF and I played Tokaido. We played this a bit too much while she was on her internship in China, since it's one of the games that we both knew already and is available on BGA. But we're no longer burned out on it. Lost by a single point!
She didn't want a rematch to prevent burning out on it again, so we played Star Realms: Colony Wars. I played the original SR quite a bit, so I usually win it by landslide. But with CW, I don't know every card in the deck, so we're on slightly more even ground. Still won by a lot, though.

And yesterday evening, we played Brass. Even though the legal situation around it is a bit icky, I'm still very happy with my EGG Deluxe edition, since it comes with the two-player board
It's really the kind of game I'll play any time! GF beat me, though. And apart from some obviously bad plays I made, I can't figure out why. She beat me by a small amount on both links and industries, ending up 128 against 118.

I thought I was doing pretty well to get in a single game of Forbidden Desert until I saw this list. Wow! How do you find so much time to play games? How do you fit 3 games of Innovation into a single day?

Played our first game of Harbour. I bought my fourth building to end the game thinking I was way ahead. My nine year old daughter bought a building on her final turn and beat me by one point with the resource point card. She loved it for sure.

We finally started our Pandemic Legacy campaign!

January - WIN with one player card remaining
February - WIN with one player card remaining
March - WIN with many player cards remaining but we suffered quite a few outbreaks (including our first level 2 rioting city)

Incredible experience so far. We can't wait to get back to it.

WEDNESDAY:
Guildhall Fantasy: Fellowship 1st!
-I enjoy Guildhall, and I liked this version of it, but I feel like there were too many abilities that had you swap cards or exchange cards. It was just a bit too much, I think. I'd definitely play again, but this probably won't be my favorite set of the new Fantasy series.

Greed x2 1st!
-This game was awesome! I really really loved it! It's simple gameplay, but the theme and graphic design mesh so well, and it's just a lot of fun finding combos and strategies. I would love to own this one.

Sushi Go Party! 1st!
-I already liked Sushi Go, but I was starting to burn out on it because it starts to feel samey after a while. But this game was great because there's a bunch of new cards, so a lot of it was new to me. I really like this one!

1 x Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King - liked it
1 x Tokaido - didn't care for it
1 x King of Tokyo
1 x Viticulture Essential Edition
1 x Oregon Trail

Oregon Trail is an ok game that had it been done by a team that knows more about games than Press man could be much better. The game offers nostalgia, but comes across as a game that anyone could have come up with in about an hour. Some house rules are needed, but still fun for the sake of nostalgia.
