My wife and I are heading off next weekend to the Bahamas for 10 days and I'm trying to find a new game to take with. We currently play 7 Wonders Duels & Agricola All Creatures a lot and she enjoys both. She doesn't like stuff that's too deep (both are about the right amount of complexity) nor does she like stuff that's TOO cut throat...

Any suggestions on somewhat small/portable games for 2 that are under an hour in length that she may enjoy?

Battle Line

It's one of those games that no matter who I play they want to play "just one more game".

Fjords if you can find a copy, or Tides of Time

Both are light, but and very small.

+1 to Jaipur

Also, I'd suggest Valley of the Kings.

Jaipur +1 (you can even play this on an airplane)
Cribbage - traditional card game, small space
Times Square - Knizia goodness, possible on a plane
Battle Line - Tough on a plane, but small to transport for rest of trip

+1 Jaipur

Also, I think that Red Raven Game's Eight-Minute Empire: Legends is a neat game that travels well and is good with two. Love the artwork on this one.

Along with Jaipur you could look into Targi. We like both and you could probably get both into the Targi box.

We had a great vacation with Mr. Jack Pocket and Jambo (the updated version is Asante). Both are portable and fun, and are designed specifically for two players. Jambo became an addiction on that trip! And I agree with the suggestions of Jaipur and Battle Line. Enjoy, and safe travels!

Plenty of great suggestions, I would add Valley of the Kings : Afterlife, a nice deckbuilder with a small footpring.
