This is the earliest game I know of that has a row where you draft cards/tiles/whatever and undrafted cards slide down to lower prices, which is now a relatively common mechanic (Through the Ages, Concordia, Stone Age, Nations, Suburbia...).

Did Show Manager introduce it or can anyone else think of an early game that may have inspired this mechanic in Show Manager?

Saint Petersburg is 2004 and it's quite similar to this mehanisc (Nations basically). Not Sure before that but I would not be surprised

Thanks! St. Petersburg uses a 2-step sliding cost, so it just barely fits. But Show Manager (1996) pre-dated St. Pete (2004) by 8 years.
