Rubio Games has developed an a highly workable Game System Template
with D-Z & Slaughterville now they have a new twist, A paragraph driven
Game mechanic.

Cult is a D-Z World Expansion but not a D-Z Game Expansion as it's
a Stand alone 1 player Solo. The art work is no longer stock photos
and the paragraph system although hardly new is a departure from
Rubio's standard approach.

The Zombie Theme is somewhat wearing thin but now a new element
has been added with a Cult element which freshens things up.
The Rules are straight forward (and if you played a Paragraph
type Game you'll be right at home) but it's the Play Book that
the core of the Game. Many Paragraph Games have a replay-ability
problem so it remains to be seen if Cult has enough choices to
keep things interesting over a few plays.

Like other Rubio Games it a good value for what you get the base
price is only $25 (shipping of course ups that) & usually Rubio
Games KS put in cool stretch Goals.

So I hope the Cult KS makes it, Rubio Games is a very small
outfit that has delivered and hasn't been afraid to try new
ways of presenting Games.

Amen OD! Just taking a quick look through the KS page, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rubiogames/district-z-t... it looks like the other Rubio-Games, meaning SOLID! I really feel it won't have any issues getting funded and be another AMAZING game in my collection!

No it's a different mechanic although the Skills,Heroes &
Setting are basically D-Z like but it's a Paragraph Game.

It's a 1 person Solo where you read a paragraph which gives
you a choice of actions and you then are referred to another
paragraph to follow up on your choice. So it's a lot more structured
than D-Z.

From the rather limited info we have to date it seems to say we
might get some tie in to the D-Z Game but it's really a totally
new stand alone Game rather than a D-Z Expansion.

Oh there is DEFINITELY a tie in with District-Z and Slaughterville! I am not allowed to say at this point but do not be shocked to see something cool! At least I think it is cool...

How is the replayability? Is it a "one and done" story with one good outcome? Or does it branch into different storylines/endings?

There are different paths and multiple endings. It may take a few times through to understand the Cult.
