Let's say you and I are talking, and I start reaching for a word but can't quite say what I mean, and then you suggest the word but it's not correct, and that attempt at correction completely jams up my ability to access the right word.

Maybe this most commonly happens with names. Ex:
"What was our Algebra teacher's name? It started with a "B"?"
"Barnes?"
"Gahh, now it's hopeless."

It sounds a little bit like a form of retroactive interference similar to misinformation.

I have/had mild aphasia caused by iron deficiency anaemia. So I take iron. Now they have to work out why. (latest hypothesis GI tract bleed)
Symptons are the same. Can't think of noun. If I leave it alone it will probably come. If prompted forget it. It's hard to stop telling people to stop suggesting things though.
