As a coop the need for erratas in Lotr are not as important as for other more competitive games. Just avoiding the combos and the OP cards is the easiest way to keep the game fresh and challenging - so that's what I do...

Here's my private nerfs:
Boromir tactics hero - ability only once per round
Blod of Numenor and gondorian fire - only one per character.
Steward of Gondor - enters exhausted.
Elrond Vilya - no go
Gloin hero ressource machine - once per round only
Dain - only affects own dwarfs
Light of Valinor - cannot go on Glorfindel
Warden of healing - no readying by paying 2 ressources
No outlands decks.

What are yours?

I have not done this yet, but I've been considering an idea I saw online somewhere - Steward of Gondor should require the hero to have the Gondor trait, not give it.

If an attachment or ally is unique, I play with one card of that name. This applies to one- and two-handed solo too.

Some of yours look like hard mode though, at least the Dain one

My private nerfs:

1. Do not buy an extra Core Set (I already have one).
2. Buy only the best value adventure packs (Quest-quality vis-a-vis Player cards). I only buy at most 4 APs in a cycle.
3. Don't buy APs/Deluxes my brother already has (no matter how I'm going to miss out on the strong cards in those sets). This avoids duplication.
4. Don't just buy everything that comes out.

With my 1 CS, 5 Mirkwood APs, Khazad-dum + 4 of its APs, card pool is not overly huge, so no need to deliberately not use any of the cards some would consider overpowered.

Newer player here, but Steward seems necessary much of the time, especially in the early game. Maybe something like using it X times then discarding it? Or readying it every other refresh phase? For example, put a token on it when exhausted and then instead of readying it, remove the token.

I play with a randomized deck. Heroes of the same color and a deck full of random cards from that sphere. 60 percent random sphere allies and 40 percent random sphere everything else.

That makes for plenty of challenge on its own.

None. But maybe something to consider:

Steward of Gonder - alternatively, you could have it grant only 1 resource.
Unexpected Courage - make it Restricted.

Oooh that sounds fun - especially if you don't view the cards before playing. I shall have to try that!

I have always had the feeling that the card count for certain cards (ie., those not available in three's) in the core set was intended to control the power of those cards.

Why not play them that way? No nerfing involved.

Yep, I don't. I go in completely blind.
