I see that FFG is coming out with an LCG for Arkham Horror. I don't see any mention of Call of Cthulhu LCG. Isn't there a tad bit of overlap between these two games? Is AH LCG a reimplmentation?

I don't mind a new LCG. I mind the pulling of support for the old one, and then coming out with something similar.

No, AH:TCG has no resemblance to Call of Cthulhu at all. CoC was a competitive card game, AH is a co-op card game. None of the gameplay looks the same, from what we've gathered thus far. Some art might be reused.

The Call of Cthulhu LCG ended a year ago. This is a new game with a similar setting, but it's a co-op game sort of like Lord of the Rings LCG.

However, the mechanics are quite different from both - it's an entirely new game.

Arkham Horror is a cooperative adventure game while Call of Cthulhu is competitive. The only thing they share in common is the Cthulhu mythos.

It's good that you asked, though! You won't be the last to have wondered, and this thread will help people understand the situation.
