Don,

On the Terrain Effects Charts there should be a note for streams and rivers. You get the "hexside +1" if the attacking unit is on the other side of the feature.

For example, if the Pioneers in 40.05 were to attack 1/335 in 39.06, the +1 would apply. If, instead, they attacked the 309 Eng Bn in 40.06, it would not.

Sorry / One more question. What if a unit in 41.31 (on Map C) was assaulting into 40.30. Would it be +1 for Woods and +1 for assaulting through a Woods Hexside? Thanks, Don.

Hello Don,

Hex side terrain in LB consists of Ford, Major River, River, and Stream. So the hex side terrain needed for the defender +1 DRM consists of only these four terrain types. The hex side terrain types are identified on the TEC chart with the (1) footnote.
