The rulebook says there should be 80 resource tokens, but the 9 punch-boards contain only 79 (the missing one is presumably a mountain, of which there are only 19).
Why is this? There seems plenty of room on the punch-board with the score-board to fit in another token.
Interesting. I did my components manifest and found that I actually had MORE resource tokens than the rulebook specified -- 81. Try counting again. ...
Also, if you count the individual hexes on the 36 land/territory tiles you will find that there are less Fields and Mountains than there are Plains and Forests, so the slightly uneven distribution could make sense. Regardless, in my plays of this game these numbers have seemed to be more than adequate and we have never run out of resource tokens.
For the OCD inclined among us, the hex counts for the tiles are:
108 = (3x36)
