So, hive mind...if someone does not have cable TV, but has internet, where is the best place to see live Olympic events online, if there is one?

Early August, APM/Stroke on the right side of my brain. Getting better quick! Board games help.

I have no luck in getting it to work. Nothing shows for Olympic events.

There are 23 live feeds online on CBC.ca
Oh, that's assuming that you want to watch Canadian athletes, of course.

cool

I looked there, but I did not see THAT many. We are looking for Canadian athletes...my wife is Canadian.

I have AT&T/DirecTV. They've provided us with a channel much like their NFL Sunday Ticket Game Mix channel, with links to every channel broadcasting events, including NBC Universo (Spanish language) and dedicated channels for both the soccer and basketball tournaments.

My brother in law pointed me to feed2all.eu - but a couple of caveats if you use it:

1. USE ADBLOCK. You will not be able to click anywhere on the page if you do not.

2. Try not to use Safari. AdBlock on Safari is not nearly as good as AdBlock on Chrome.

I've been watching on BBC player with a chrome extension that proxies me in the UK. Admittedly, it's making me feel weird in that the coverage has me rooting for UK people instead of US people because of the commentary.

Depends what sport. If you look at the streams for some of the minor sports the commentary is a lot more even-handed.

Apparently, it might be easiest to see the Olympics by traveling to Brazil.

Plenty of seats still available.

I guess I don't see how to get to those, the only thing I've been able to do is watch the live feed off of BBC 1 and BBC 4 as appropriate to what I'm looking for.

If you have any relatives that subscribe to cable and are willing to give you their credentials, you can use them to log into the NBC feeds. They have almost every event streaming on their site.

Alternatively, if you have a Playstation Network ID you can do like I did and subscribe to the free trial of Playstation Vue which will give you 7 days of access to NBC's streams. Make sure that you cancel the subscription before those 7 days are up though, or you will be charged $45 for a month of service.
