Founder LexiCon Tabletop Gaming Convention The best gaming convention in Kentucky! Late April, in Lexington KY.
Played an intense game of Xenon Profiteer at Gulf Games Convention.
Chris N. led the charge by purchasing the starter upgrades from his deck to add to his air filter, giving him the ability to introduce air twice a turn, giving him $4 a turn and then the ability to discard a card each turn, making it easier to extract Xenon.
Chris G. worked on purchasing the upgrade to distill all Oxygen in hand each turn, this made it easier for him to distill Xenon, since he got rid of Oxygen each turn without using his regular distill action. He also picked up a great improvement allowing him the option to bid AND buy each turn, reducing the costs of cards he wants by putting up bid tokens to reduce their cost.
Adam built two Pipelines which allowed him to increase his hand size by two. He also purchased a Sales Executive that allowed him to place 3 bid tokens a turn, significantly reducing the cost of his improvements.
John bought a very helpful (and the most costly) improvement that allowed him to complete a contract with one fewer Xenon then the other players. Then he went hard after the contracts to end the game by completing 5 contracts. Since he was able to get them for cheap, he went after some of the mid range ones, using only one or at the most two Xenon to purchase them. This proved very effective and John easily took first place, with room to spare.
