Are the Dark and Light spells signature spells or can they be added to the starting spells? Got multiples in the promo packs at Gen Con.

They are to be added to your starting elemental hand.

The core game comes with one set of Dark and Light (they are for the final boss, not for players to use). So if you bought the pack that has 3 sets of Light and Dark, you can have up to 4 players in versus using dark and light. Those 2 spells won't count as part of your 2 signatures.

They are very powerful elements, so either all players should have them, or none.

If you need more explained, please let me know!

In campaign mode, may I discard items from my stash to satisfy a requirement? Or, must they be in hand when I do so, basically limiting me to 2 items in hand at any time?

Specifically, I want the Lone Titan to heal me by discarding items.

Yes.

I see now that it should say you may freely organize your hand and stash to do so. It's also somewhat self-evident in that the only way to afford his services is to have access to your stash.

Plus, you can have as many items in your hand as you want, as long as you don't go over your hand limit.

Excellent. I apologize for all the questions. Trying to teach myself the game so I can present it to my play group. Also think this would be a great one for my Game Club at my middle school. They will love all the little bits of humor.

I have a monster down to 1 EP. It has no cards left in its deck. The rule book states that it will spend EP to put as many back as it can, but will never go to 0. The example in the rules illustrates a monster with 2 EP only shuffling 2 cards back in. Not sure what would happen with the monster at 1 EP.

Believe I found the answer. The monster passes and gains 2 EP. Then, during the next standoff, will spend those 2 EP to get 2 randoms back.

Correct, though the rule book states that it has enough EP to reload 2 cards, it does not say it only has 2 EP left.

Therefore, if a creature only has 1 EP and no cards, it will pass and gain 2 EP, and the next turn it will reload 2 cards for 1 EP (because it now has 3).

And by all means, ask as many questions as you want. Feel free to add me on facebook if you want a quicker back and forth.

You'll have to let me know how you're enjoying the campaign! Chapter one is the easiest, and the difficulty ramps up quickly.

Thanks, again. I will find you on Facebook.

My first go of the campaign is a bit clunky (thus, all the questions). However, I am really enjoying it thus far. The mechanics are finally starting to gel in my brain. My second go at it should run much more smoothly.

When playing in the CO-OP campaign, how is it suggested to incorporate the Light and Dark spells? Also how is it suggested to incorporate the other promo cards, if at all?

Thanks!!!

Dark and Light are not added to the starting hands for campaign mode. I am not sure about the other promos. If it is an item, I believe it can go in.

The Promo cards, besides characters, are not for the co-op portion of the game, EXCEPT for the collector's box item card.

Dark and Light can be used with up to 4 players if you have the core game. Each player would get a set of dark and light. The pack comes with 3 sets, but there is already 1 set in the core box (it's used by one of the bosses, not players).

The Duel Modifiers are drawn at the start of a versus game.

I've made a series of tutorial to help folks learn the game in addition to the rulebook. I'm going to make a tutorial for the promo cards soon too.

These were super helpful. The hardest thing I just couldn't figure out was the elemental spells and items go into different discard piles. I eventually inferred it, but I couldn't find anything in the rules that explicitly said that.
