Four-dimensional crystals of unimaginable power and worth are harvested by giant robots on alien worlds. Intergalactic corporations need faster, tougher, more destructive machines to harvest more and battle the competition. As the head of one such corporation, you must recruit pilots, build the ultimate giant robot, and use it to race or battle for crystals in Mech Retriever!

Mech Retriever will be a Mech-Building digital boardgame app. We're funding development of the app to Beta for Android Devices and Windows computers.

The campaign is already in progress and will last until Sunday, Sept. 4th at 7:55 am.

There are perspective oddities in the Sunset Clash and Spidergator Thresher images - are they deliberate?

* The gun in sunset clash is pointed into the image at the point it joins with the robot's arm (reinforced by seeing the back of the shells in the ammo belt), but out of the image at the end of its barrel (you can see the opening at the end of the barrel)

* The rotary cannon on the spidergator has four barrels in a square at the front (90 degree internal angle), but they are not arranged the same at the back (maybe a 160 degree angle?)

It's also a bit unclear why the first image in the KS is a shot of a group of people playing what seems to be a physical prototype - but the physical prototype isn't mentioned until almost the bottom of the page. You might want to rejig that a bit.

As things stand, there's not really enough in the project to convince a stranger to back the game - I can't really understand what the breadth of the content is, not how the game plays. Is your prototype (digital or physical) at the point where you can create a 'how it plays' video?

Good luck with your project!

Mech Retriever did not reach it's funding goal at this time. However, much success was had in building a community for the game, and learning what it takes to run a kickstarter campaign. Work on Mech Retriever, and community building will continue, and in 6 months we will launch another kickstarter alongside a playable demo of the game.

Thank you so much to everyone who backed us, and to those who helped us spread the word. You can continue to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Mechretriever.com, where we will continue to post updates about the project, cool events we will hold, and ways to get involved in the process!
