* Back from a shorter than expected hiatus. I decided to make the most out of a bad situation.
* In my improvised little set-up at my parent’s place… yeah it’s that bad The internet is crap up here but I’ll have that fixed VERY soon.
Miniature Related Projects:
Axolote Scenery [No BGG Link at Time of Release]
The Axolote 3d printable terrain set, the only indiegogo project I ever covered on this show, which appeared on kickstarter shortly thereafter is doing very well in the end! You can pick and pay for whatever you want, but the complete set will only cost you 16 USD.
Fantasy Football Dwarves [No BGG Link at Time of Release]
The new fantasy football line from Willy miniatures is doing good, as expected. Team Dwarfs will come to fruition and they look very well done as per usual. The Full team will cost you 75 USD.
Outbreak Miniatures [No BGG Link at Time of Release]
The pretty successful tabletop zombie apocalypse skirmisher Ragers is getting an accompanying line of miniatures. Zombie survivors / scavengers to use with Ragers or basically any other (Zombie) Apocalyptic skirmisher. There’s 11 miniatures in total and they will cost you 55 USD for the whole set in a Collector’s box and it comes with a PDF version of the Ragers rules as well!
Board Games then. First up… Cold water Crown. Still a little bit short on funding but that’s just a matter of time with 30-something hours left to go to gain 600 dollars on a 12.5K goal with a decnet number of backers as well. Anyway, a strategic game of fishing in the North Atlantic which got great reviews, it’s 44 USD.
Evil Dead 2: The Official Board Game
Next, The Evil Dead 2 board game was raised nearly 600K and will probably break that target and go well beyond it before the campaign ends. A Miniatures board game based on the horror cult classic movie and looks pretty promising. Standard version will cost you 60 USD and the Deluxe version costs 80.
Another successful miniatures board game is Giga Robo. A mech fighting board game with real miniature towers to fight your battle in a city where apparently every japanese mech fight ever took place. It looks pretty decent though! Giga Robo is 70 USD for the Core Game and 85 for the Premium version which comes with pre-painted minis.
Dwarves in Trouble
Card Games. The creators of dwarves in trouble must be pretty happy, since the game already raised 11 times its initial target. The card game where it’s your goal to get rid of all of your gold, because the dragon you stole it from has caught you red-handed. Your get rid of your gold by ‘donating’ it to one of your fellow players! The core game of Dwarves in trouble is 19 USD but there’s all kinds of stuff to add-on from there.
Dragon Draft [No BGG Link at Time of Release]
Next, Dragon Draft. A trick-taking, hand-building card game where you are out to collect as much gems as you can by preselecting the card you’ll play during the trick-taking. Plan out your strategy and Save the Realm! Dragon Draft is 3 USD for the PnP or 20 for a physical copy.
The final card game is cantankerous cats. The card game of cats doing what they do best: cause misschief. Do as much damage as you can without getting kicked out! The game is 35 USD!
Forgot to do the Sad Kickstarter Story...Next Time.
RPG Spotlight - Strange Magic 2:
The RPG spotlight this time is Strange Magic 2. It introduces new magic systems to 5th Edition and Pathfinder, namely Herbalism, Cartomancy and a Japanese art called ‘onmyodo’. It’s accompanied by a boatload of new materials to spice up your D&d or Pathfinder game. It is 25 USD for either set and 40 for all the things. Some pledge-levels can even add-on a hardcover version of the book at print cost. RPG Spotlight: Strange Magic 2.
Expansions, Reprint, Relaunches and Upgrades:
GameTerrain Buildings [No BGG Link at Time of Release]
The Relaunch of the GameTerrain Building Range is making it this time and I don’t see why they wouldn’t. It started off as a simple campaign but unlocked add-ons made it to become a pretty wide range of buildings available. Pick whatever you want but it’s all starting at 9 GBP for the small cottage. It looks very good!
