On the acolyte cards, above the mana penalty book icon, there are symbols that looks like a player number x skull. What does this mean and how does it apply to the game? I did not see anything in the rulebook.

hey david...these icons have no meaning in the "regular" game but they are used in the solo game. they are used to mark the "bot" player's skull total for the round. if you don't play it solo you can completely ignore them! hope this helps.
