Hopefully they translated it into something the locals can read. Doubt there's many Swedish readers in Iraq.

According to the article they're little e-books of some kind...I guess they could be adapted to the Koran by somebody enterprising (or porn, whatever).

I think this is the more important revelation, that they have discovered a perpetual energy device.

Or, you know, they'll die in a couple weeks and be less than useless.

Please, please, please drop some economics texts into a Trump rally. They need to learn that real estate finance and economics aren't synonymous.

Some of them might. "Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions." Psalm 119:18

Proverbs 9:7

"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse"?

Are you correcting Moshe?

The people that need saving in these areas aren't ISIS, dude. They are their victims.

A scoffer in this context is one who mocks or undermines the basis of Torah while purporting to do what he or she thinks it really means. Hm. That sounds like a Christian who shows contempt for Judaism, doesn't it?

What do you all think of the general effectiveness of propaganda in the fight against ISIS? Would there be any practical sense in non-stop bombardment of selected tracts from the Koran (in arabic and/or the language of the region)? Liberal Muslim scholars could be selected to pull out the best verses so that jihadis could be exposed to interpretations that seed doubt in their convictions.

I understand that ISIS has solid scriptural support for their actions, but propaganda can be powerful, can't it?

EDIT: I suppose another problem would be that it most certainly wouldn't be 100% effective. In which case, you can't very well continue a fight with one hand while attempting to spread peace with the other.

EDIT2: Of course, propaganda doesn't always have to be about peace. General Frederick had cards printed up with the unit's insignia on them and the words Das dicke Ende kommt noch! or "The worst is yet to come" printed in red ink down the right side[20] which the Force would leave on the bodies of dead Germans as a form of psychological warfare.[21] It can still be effective.

I am not sure that replacing one religion with another is a good idea when dealing with religious nutters.

What you need to do is undermine their faith in any god, not just a god.

So you need to say "look this is the real world...see you can hold this and feel it" things like.

Food, money, sexy parties, jaz mags, the man who wouild be king (film or book), Dr Who, Shatner not singing, Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade, 15 pints of old overcoat, the Flashman stories, Donald Trump.

I wholeheartedly support any plan that involves dropping Trump via drone into a war zone.

He should love it. A chance to really get a purple heart.

I think this is incendiary and just invites more hostility towards Christians specifically and by extension to all of the West. It is an insult the devoutly religious amongst them. Even with good intentions, dropping these without any context just feels like a slap in the face to their faith.

It's a Swedish church, not an American one.
