Hi, we have failed our first attempt on 3rd encounter, so I'm trying to find out if we have missed some rules here and there.

Probably we have been very unlucky, by rolling three X on the blue die during our first encounter and by drawing Hall of Souls as second encounter...

We played with three heroes and I noticed most of the time we ran out fatigue and we had no time to perform a Rest action to restore it.

This makes us unable to use most of our heroes talents and makes things much harder.

Damages can be recovered by an healer, what about fatigue ?
A Rest action is the only way to restore it?
Or it is restored in full when you open a door as it happens at the end of an encounter in the base game ?
Any other way ?

Thanks in advance

Achille

You can spend one (and only one) surge from combat roll to restore 1 fatigue.

Certain class cards can restore fatigue, as well as some hero abilities and feats. Fatigue is meant to be a resource you never seem to have enough of though.

Time management and efficiency is still a big part of Descent even in RtL. You gotta remember that it's not a slow dungeon crawl where you can clean the dungeon of monsters and move on. It's a race where you have to balance moving forward with the threat of leaving things alive.

Getting search tokens and drawing stamina pots seem like the only option next to resting. Sometimes drawing a peril card is worth it to get a rest. Also some heroes recovery fatigue well like Elder Mok & High Mage Quellen.
