Did you know? Hibou is french for owl.
Simply apply the following rules changes :
-On your turn, you either place the tile (as usual) or discard it.
-After placing or discarding your tile, you can move all your explorers as many tiles as you want along their paths (backtracking allowed), collecting any gems along the way.
-There is no limit to the number of explorer who can be present on a tile. i.e. explorers don't block each other movements.
With those simple changes, my 5 years old girl can play without any guidance.
Have fun !
Interesting. We also play with our 5 year old using two rules:
1. She may rotate her tiles.
2. Her explorers don't block each other.
This makes it not too easy, as it simply opens up some more ways in solving the puzzle. We enjoy the game much more since we implemented this rule. Also - she draws the tiles and by now easily names the numbers above 20 with which she had some difficulties before.
