I was wondering if others have seen this as well. We played last night and we had 2 players go insane. One of them was me and my win condition did not change.

But the other player had a completely different win condition. He needed an item that was not currently in the game.

It required a light source to start a fire.



There were 2 more searchable areas on the board so he went to those 2 areas and didn't find anything. At this point we had explored the whole map and the item required was not spawned. So my question is does this happen often? I don't see a way to acquire items any other way then thru the app giving them to you. I mean maybe they should have been more careful about going insane, but to give them 0% chance of winning was terrible. There was only about 2 rounds left int he game luckily.

Side Question - Besides having a light source item there is no way to deal with darkness either? We had a ton of darkness spaces and unable to use clues most of the game to fix dice rolls. Luckily we had some focus cards to help out.

How many players were in the game and are you certain that Insanity card was meant to be used with that player count?

Yea, it was a 5 player game, so everything was in. We just found absolutely no

Yeah that sounds like an oversight in the design. Maybe contact FFG over at their website and perhaps they'll fix that in a future app update.

We thought of that. There were 0 in the entire game. And there were no more searches/interactions on the board. Seems just like bad luck, but there should be a way of attaining a certain item besides blind luck in that scenario.

Maybe it depends on the particular configuration of scenario 1, but when we played it we got

Yea, I think it was probably a fluke...but it sucks that it can happen.

We had the exact same situation in our last run through of scenario #1 with a pyromaniac on board; the only light source that ever showed up was the candles, but they had already been discarded to use their action effect...
