it´s me again, and I´ve come back with yet another Solitaire Wargame about the rise of an ancient evil, this time in fantastic lands.
An Old Evil was inspired by the never-ending odyssey of "That Which Sleeps", Cthulhu and just about any game about playing the bad guy where you take over "the world".
As a solitaire wargame, the player leads his waking self through an early central map where he tries to conquer, raze, subvert or corrupt units and locale until he has become enough of a thread spreading chaos and terror, that even the great church and other nations are going to invade just to stop him. In a turn-based system, the player has a number of actions each turn that he can use to further his goal, trying either his best at reaching the greatest attainable goal, or perhaps going for the unique win condition for his currently chosen "awakening evil", or being slain, banished from this world or suffer any number of horrible fates. As you are surely aware, this is a prototype, so the design isn´t final.
Edit: A VASSAL module has now been added, as well as some rules updates.
