Besides 7 wonders. Not "party" gamey (mafia, resistance, spyfall, codenames, etc) although the term can be debated.

I agree with Shadows over Camelot.

There is also Red November.

You might consider Space Cadets: Dice Duel although it's at it's best with 8, or Eclipse with Rise of the Ancients to enable play for 7.

The obvious choices for me would be Fearsome Floors, 7 Wonders or Bohnanza, all of those great 7 player games (and none of them party games).

Sushi Go Party! (it is not a party game, despite the title, a simple, lighter game then 7 Wonders)

Agreed. I didn't like Sushi Go! at max player count (5) so I assumed I wouldn't enjoy 7p Sushi Go Party. But actually it was great! With the hands barely going around once, it's ALL watching other people and picking a draft strategy, with none of the puzzly hand management you get in 2p and 3p games. Totally worth a try.

I prefer it a 5, but I do know some people that like Arkham Horror

BANG! The Bullet! can be fun from time to time

There is Citadels, but it can drag a bit at 7

Pow Wow is always good fun.

Plus there are many good racing games that plays seven.

Dark Moon is awesome with 7
Mysterium is also fantastic

Deception: Murder in Hong Kong is maybe a little lighter than mysterium, but still very good

+1 for between two cities

+++++1 for Shadows over Camelot. Such a great deduction game, really engaging and fun with 7. Avoid the expansion though.

+1 Citadels - I linked to the new one which is coming out soon and shortens it a little so might be worth looking into.
+1 Bohnanza
Shadow Hunters

I have yet to play it with 7, but Outpost goes up to either 8 or 9.

Another vote for Kings of Air and Steam.
Also, Steampunk Rally is a great medium-weight game that goes up to 8 without slowing down.

New Salem is decent fun, but as it's at least 50% social deduction it might err too much on the 'party game' side of things for your group.

Eclipse with expansion. It actually plays surprisingly quickly with the high player count.

Struggle of Empires is my favorite 7-player game. In fact, it's best with 7, which is something few games can claim.

Not sure if Shadow Hunters counts as too party game-y for the OP, but if not, then +1 to that.

Formula D. I recommend 1-lap simple rules so it doesn't wear out its welcome. It'll still probably take an hour+.
