Hi everyone.

I'm very interested in emulating worker placement with only cards. Can you recommend any games out there that you think have succeeded in implementing worker placement using cards only?

Thanks

Gareth

what exactly are you trying to emulate? worker placement is a more physical version of action selection so are you looking for games like Race for the Galaxy or Witch's Brew?

spyrium is worker placement where the main board is cards but still uses the physical placement like any other worker placement game

Asara has a board and other components, but the workers are cards. I don't know if that is what you mean.

The Manhattan Project: Chain Reaction. You can use the cards in this game as workers to activate other cards, and the output of some cards are workers which you can then use to activate more cards.

For action spaces/buildings. Your one worker is a meeple.

You could replace that one meeple with a card if you wanted to without changing the game much.

This list of games might help you find some gems. (Advanced search filtering out dice, and including cards and the worker placement mechanic.)

I wish there was an option for sorting out meeples/chits/tokens, haha.

Nice videos, by the way.
