Hi fellow gamers!
We are proud to present the first Kickstarter campaign for our game publishing company, Red Eyed Rabbit.
Mandrago, designed by Johan Beyens, launched on Kickstarter Wednesday and was funded in 20 hours, which made us very happy
Mandrago is a challenging game for 2 to 4 players, set in a light-hearted, classical fantasy realm. Mandrago is accesible to all ages (well, nearly all ages, we recommend 6+) and players will need to rely on both strategy and memory to achieve victory. A game of Mandrago usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.
The players take on the role of adventuring healers that scour the forest for a rare plant, the Mandrago, to save the life of their beloved princess. But the forest also houses a lot of interesting creatures that will aid you in your quest, while others are mischievous and a real hindrance. During the game, the players' decisions will influence the importance of certain variations of Mandrago Roots over others'.
Mandrago is great for young children that are looking for a challenge, maybe as an introduction to more complex boardgames. But the strategy aspect also makes it very enjoyable for adult gamers. And what’s more, the combination of the memory mechanic and strategic play makes this game perfect for parents wanting to play a challenging game with their children. While children usually have inferior tactical skills compared to adults, they do have a far better memory. Combining these two mechanics in one, simple game, results in something that can be enjoyed by both parents and kids while playing together. Make no mistake, they will beat you fair and square in a game you enjoy too.
The game is designed for two to four players and in a four-player game, Mandrago allows for optional alliances and co-op play.
Mandrago is completely language independent, no text is used in any of the components. The rulebook will be printed in English, with translations available online in Dutch. We are working on translations in French, German and Spanish too.
The campaign ends on September 8th and backers will receive their rewards in October 2016, only a month after the campaign ends. A very rare treat in Kickstarter Land

Be sure to check Mandrago out and let us know what you like or dislike about the game or the Kickstarter campaign! We have tested this game with many people of all ages, but of course these were local gamers from Belgium. We would love to hear feedback from gamers around the world.
