Our biggest issue with the game so far is the lack of scoring--this game is almost the opposite of Castles of Burgundy... its an anti-point salad.
Game ending in 15-16 points just feels anti-climactic.
From 8 games, we've found the most powerful location is the resource value increase location. If you can manage to control it each round, it doesn't matter that you have 3 nails, the controller left it a value of 1. The controller might have 1 hide with a value of 4 that trumps those 3 hard-fought tokens.
Bids are also strong too--if someone controls both bids each round, the only other thing there is to do is try and screw them up and make them lose the bid. Going by that, it just causes the game to end with even lower point values.
