So I really like the idea of this game and the components are great. I'm kind of torn on the That Isn't Mine cards. It seems really aggravating that there are 8 of them but only 3 counters and they basically are "pick someone and they waste 1/5 of the game".

Has the game been play-tested without the cards (and the counters?) or has anyone tried it that way. I think I will try it next time we get it to the table.

I might also try leaving them in but playing to 3 obsidian?

Thoughts?

Hey Jason, have you experienced without them or playing a bit with it's rule and would like to share how it went? I feel a bit the same about them. They're a bit overpowered in my opinion when compared with other cards, and they promote going after people that already has an obsidian, from a strategical point of view (as you kick someone out of the round immediately without giving them the chance of doing anything, if they don't have the counter card)

I was thinking about house-ruling that you can only give your obsidian to someone that doesn't have one in front of them, and if no-one does you could use it to simply remove your obsidian.

I ended up trading it off shortly after. I like the idea of the game, and even as designed I think I liked it a little more than people in my group...but after getting a general poll going in our group (of about 10-12 people) most people didn't ever want to play it again.
