I backed this game on Kickstarter. My wife and I opened it up and played it once. Since then, the game has been collecting dust, not because we didn't like it, but we were playing other games. Well, a late spring clean (really a late summer clean), we decided to trim our collection and Burgle Bros. did not make the team. Yes, I know that we should have given it more of a chance, but that is not my focus or plight.

I sold it. However, I didn't even think to count the components before I shipped because I haven't pulled the game out besides that first play. The buyer contacted me when the game arrived and stated that there are only 118 square cards. I know that the official component count is 124 square cards. Since I don't have the game anymore, here is my plight/request. Are there only 118 playable cards? Are the other 6 cards something like rule cards or advertising cards? Can the square cards be separated out into groups so that I can ask the buyer to count the groups to determine which group might be short? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

Sincerely a gamer learning to count before selling,
Jed

By square cards do you mean the "playing cards?" Guard movement, loot, tools, and events?

IIRC, there are only 48 of the thick room tiles.

.......

Okay, looking at my game.

4 player turn/AP cards.
1 components card.
9 character cards.
53 patrol cards.
26 event cards.
13 loot cards.
13 tool cards.

Not described in the game contents is 2 guard cards for different sized floors. Perhaps those two and the four turn/AP cards are the missing ones?

My copy has:
--------------------
1 "Components" list
4 Player reference
9 Role cards
3 "Lost Visual"
13 Loot
13 Tools
26 Events
16 Level 1 guard cards
16 Level 2 guard cards
16 Level 3 guard cards
2 Special guard cards (for the 5x5 layout)
---
1 + 4 + 9 + 3 = 17
13 + 13 + 26 = 52
16 +16 +16 + 2 = 50
---
17+52+50 = 119

Hope that helps.

So 118 + the component card? Sounds like his game was complete.

Thank you so much. Boardgamegeek is a great community. I will pass that information along to the buyer. I am of course at the disadvantage and the buyer can request a refund, but everyone's responses at least gives me some information. Thank you!

Thank you Kevin and Rob! The buyer was missing the components card. Is this list of cards published elsewhere on burgle bros page? If not, that would be great to publish.

Thank you again!

Tim, that is beyond awesome of you to be so willing to help out. Thank you. While Burgle Bros didn't remain in my collection, my wife and I are looking forward to Fugitive.

I didn't know that you hail from Utah. I moved to back to Utah last summer teach science at a small junior college (Snow College)

Thanks again. Maybe I will meet you at a SaltCon.
