Hi folks,

I'm playing a game of TTA on BGA, and I've encountered something odd. In previous turns, I have researched the Multimedia card and have already built one instance of it. The BGA log shows I paid the required 11 resources. A few turns later now, and I'm attempting to build a 2nd instance - the card claims it costs 11 resources. I have 11 resources, yet when I try to build another instance, the game says I don't have enough resources. Is this a bug, or is some weirdo rule coming into play here? I'm not much of an expert on this game, so its quite possible I've missed something.

Thanks!

Maybe you already have your maximum number of Libraries? Or you don't have the available population? Those are the two other possibilities for why you can't build it, other than resources. Or you don't have a civil action, I guess.

Has another player chosen Bill Gates? When he is in play, it costs other players an extra 1 resource to build or upgrade their labs and libraries.

Yep, that was it - although, in this version the leader is Tesla (later versions he became Bill Gates, apparently). Thanks, guys.

Playing this game online is a double-edged sword - one the one hand, it automates a lot of the drudgery, but on the other, it obfuscates what is really going on.

Make the switch over to BGO and play the new version where that effect no longer exists...
