I've experienced a door (on a 1e tile) that was on an outer parameter wall, that I wasn't instructed to place an explore token on it.

What do I do with it? Ignore it?

It is a closed door. That represents that there is more in the house, controlled by the evil, but you can't discover it. Also it is a great spawn point.

Thematic answer: closet, pantry, or crawl space of little to no interest.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Unless the door happens to swing open of its own accord and smack you in the face.
