Subject: Counterclockwise player movement? rss

I played this for the first time yesterday and loved it. However, I found it a little confusing that ship movement and player movement went in opposite directions.

I don't see a reason why game play would be effected if we chose to take player turns in counterclockwise order to match the ships. Would others concur?

It doesnt matter. It is just usual that players turns go clock-wise.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The arrows on the board make the counterclockwise direction of the ships easy, so I think it will be easy for player rotation as well.

Murano reminds me of Mangrovia, which features a counterclockwise rotation of starting player (if starting player is not chosen as an action). That always feels counter-intuitive, but in that case, there is a game-driven reason to move in that direction.
