Just a clarification. Even after looking it up in the errata I wasn't able to understand if it is a mistake or I am forgetting something:
On page 12 (playbook), support phase 6.4, if you read the entire paragraph you will notice that at the end it will say "Opposition is unchanged and Support goes up three from one to four." It seems to me that it is impossible because with New York Colony at active support x2 (2 population) and Quebec City at active support x2 (population 1) it should be at least 6? Right?
Im the errata 2016 it is only corrected the price of the shifts, from neutral to active support in the New York Colony, but not the support summary.
Thanks to all,
I just received my copy of Liberty or Death (2nd printing) and noticed this too. I believe they need to review the "6.4 Support Phase" entry and make some corrections.
I see support increasing by 5.
New York Colony (pop 2) gets a multiplier increase from x0 to x2 (an increase of 4 to support)
Quebec City (pop 1) gets a multiplier increase from x1 to x2 (an increase of 1 to support)
In addition to the playbook showing the wrong increase, they also describe the initial British support incorrectly as 1. At the start of support phase 6.4 the British actually have passive support in New York City (2x1) and passive support in Quebec City (1x1) for a total initial support of 3.
The result, 3 initial support plus an increase of 5 support will result in a new total of 8 support. From what I've seen so far, (British) Total Support can always be "double checked" by looking at all of the cities and colonies on the map with British support and adding them up.
