If you happened to stumble here by chance, this is a thread of a tournament exclusively for the Division Commissioners of the SR BGG League (Season 19), which is NOT an official part of the League itself.

Hello DCs, and welcome to the seventh DC Tournament!

As always, please check in here and subscribe to this thread to be kept updated.

We have the potential for 16 participants this year. I'll quickly outline the structure for everyone as it works slightly differently from the standard league.

The initial part of the tournament will be a round robin where everybody will play everybody else in one-match rounds. We'll play as many rounds as we need to accomplish this (which is N-1 rounds; e.g. 18 players will necessitate 17 rounds). As this is significantly more rounds than occur in a standard league division, play will be accelerated by posting and playing two rounds at a time.

New pace-of-play rules have been adopted to speed up rounds a little bit over previous seasons. The next pair of rounds will be posted when at least one of the below criteria have been met:
* all matches are complete
* two or fewer matches are remaining at three days or greater
* no player has more than once match remaining at four days or greater

At the conclusion of the round robin, the top 8 players will play in a single-elimination tournament where each round is best two-out-of-three matches. The winner of this will be declared the DC Tournament Champion!

All other standard league rules apply including resolving preference differences and tiebreaker rules.

Once everybody checks in, we'll get the first two rounds rolling.

Any questions or comments, please let me know. And good luck!

Thanks for all the prompt check-ins! We're one short right now, so I'd like to wait another day for them to respond. Once I hear back from them, we'll get rolling. I hope we can start tomorrow, but latest will be Wednesday morning.

Karmakanik you have challenged me BH but your preferences say V. But then again I can just assume you know what you are doing.

Round 1

karmakanik over MarcelP

it was fast row from the get go - i opened double blob fighter, imperial fighter, and when the blobs allied in my second deck, plus a subsequent hive, i had enough draw to compensate for the total lack of scrap.

gg!

Sorry to hear you've been sick! I can slot you into the bye slot no problem; I'll just edit the post above.

Not today Karmakanik, nor Cranky. Off to a good tournament start despite thinking that each game the start was a bit slow. Hard luck Cranky particularly I had 1 draw and needed to draw my Dreadnaught for the win.

Round 1

FuzzyLogic bt. CrankyDay

Round 2

FuzzyLogic bt. karmakanik

It was a fun match. I picked up far too many bots while still not sufficiently shutting you out of scrap. Was just too slow. GG!

I made dis: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12CFLv7ULXWrFxCEAnH11...

The tie breaker does not work the same way as ours but it seems to be accurate enough estimate. You get a tb point for each win somebody you have beaten has. As per the sheet is currently I have beaten karmakanik and he has beaten MarcelP, therefore I have got one point.

wouldn't it be possible to manage the DC Tournament just like the guys from FTL are doing on Challonge?

http://starrealmsftl.challonge.com/season2fighterbasetier

tiebreaker is automatically calculated.
