Aren't fluorescent tubes hazardous waste? I think there's a law in MA that you have to recycle them at an appropriate facility. So between the risk of exposing myself to dangerous chemicals and destroying the environment, I don't think I'd break fluorescent tubes.

In the winter after we've had sleet or freezing rain, I love to wait until the next day when the sun warms up the car a little and the bottom layer of the sheet of ice on the car is just starting to melt. I go out there, pry up an end of the ice which causes it to float along the little layer of water on the hood. Then I just give it a little push and giggle as a huge sheet of ice slides off and smashes into smithereens all over the driveway. LOVE. meeple

Probably. I dash them into a metal garbage bin and they go off like fireworks.
My dad and I once took about 100 jars of fermenting preserves from my grandmother's basement to the dump, then spent 10 minutes throwing rocks at them, blasting them open.
It was awesome, and one of the few times that my dad ever showed his childish side.

Good one. Also up there is shoveling on a sunny day where you can actually scrape the packed snow off of the blacktop.

Peeling labels off of beer bottles. Or wine bottles, I'm not picky.

I have a thing about being cut. It's why knives are mentally scarier than guns and why breaking glass objects is near the bottom of the satisfying activities list.

Peeling labels off ice cold sweating beer bottles is fun and appropriate most places beer is consumed. Peeling labels off wine bottles is gauche most places wine is consumed.

Not peeling off the plastic and not allowing others to is far more satisfying.

I have a phone that has had the plastic on for 3 years. Drives my daughter crazy.

Sloshing cooking oil around in a frying pan while heating it until all of the gaps disappear and the entire bottom of the pan is covered by oil.

And then cooking bacon in it.

My wife would approve, though. She refuses to remove those - still has all the 'Intel inside!' and associated stickers on the front of her 5 year old laptop.

Which one:

Peeling all of the skin off a (perfectly!) ripe peach in one sheet, or

Peeling a single big sheet of skin off of your (back/shoulder/arm/leg) after a bad sunburn heals?
