After Vampire Hunters, would you prefer that Dark Gate Games continue with a second season of Vampire Hunters with additional expansions or would you prefer they move onto Werewolf Hunters which would be a stand alone game that is compatible with Vampire Hunters?

I think they have their plate full enough for the time being to think about future seasons. This isn't CMON, after all.

Yep, the amount of extras they've added I will be happy to see Vampire Hunters before 2019, never mind a follow up.

Also (imho) with the incredibly high amount of kickstarter exclusive stuff I really don't see this doing that well in retail.

Exactly, they don't need to be distracted on developing new stuff until all this is locked in and ready for delivery.

I worry they will be short on funds as the delays hit and tempted to begin another KS before this one is finished in order to get the influx of capital they need to finish this one.

I can't help but think of Shadows of Brimstone when I look at all the stuff they have added during the KS and look what happened to that. Admittedly it's amazing but people are still waiting for stuff to be made.

Delays really don't matter since we received a fantastic deal on SoB.

Even if they had the plans to make Werewolf Hunters the question is if competition (CMoN and others) may not do it before DGG even get to finish with their Vampire Hunters.

the blurb for Vampire Hunters says the hunters of the Order hunt vampires and "other creatures of the night"

so that leaves the game open for expansions concentrating on monsters other than vampires so no need for a second starter box just for werewolves

I second the wait till this comes out to see quality and figure out any issues since this is the first campaign for them. But after that? Yea I'd be game for a Werewolf one that is standalone but compatible.

Had to laugh when I saw this post. Of course we are all eager for the next thing from DGG! I think looking ahead might make the wait easier, or not.
I agree with the "Yes" response.
Also agree that I'll be very pleased just to get what's planned for VH.
But, since you ask, a cross over to werewolves, or undead, or something similar would be awesome. It could also serve as a VH2 with a blending of monsters.

I don't mind the wait. I think the sculpts are good and they should take their time.

As far as the original question. I would like a Werewolf Hunters. Please make it Compatible and yes that means we can fight Werewolves and Vampires.

Yes, I would like a Werewolf who in fact hunts Vampires (obviously a melee specialist probably) but has a human form and a large worg wolf form.

Since Werewolf can include spirits and nasty toxic things as I am thinking this game in terms of Whitewolf-esque game I like the idea of a Black Spiral Dancer. So different types or tribes of Werewolf's or how about Packs, different ones.

Toxic monsters can be included, nasty spirits and animated things like a Junk Heap. At least those are some ideas to play with.

I would also love a Mummy and some various egyptian Mummy theme expansion. I know its not vampires, but it could be compatible and a stand alone game, or just an example that you can use in either the werewolf or vampire game. Egyptian magic, yes please, talismans and ideas like the 12 days/nights concept and a boat and gods like Annubis. Research real Egyptian magic and the Duat.

I get a Whitewolf / Underworld vibe but also from the spectrum of other vampire movies, like John Carpenters Vampires, and Blade.

Blade type expansion would be cool. Basically modern tiles, with Night Club tiles, plus office and Vampire headquarters with ultra-modern look to them, not a nasty abandoned look. You could have a Hunter's headquarters set of tiles that the Vampires invade. And an ancient Blood Temple of the Blood God type of thing, basically 'insert Vampire Lord here' but the tiles show a cool vampire temple set of boards.

Also Traps and a deck of trap cards. There are so many freak'n ideas actually. If you want tmore ideas I'll post more. I could even see a team of Vampire Hunters who are mages, or the Magi type (like egyptian-persian-greek theme). Perhaps one is a pyromancer, dealing with fire. I'd say use elemental theme magic. A chinese Wu-Jen (magic user) sort of like David Lopan style, but as a Vampire Elder would be cool and an Egg Shen Chinese sorcerer type Hunter, and thus an Eastern magic team so you can have a martial artist type which is a Shao Lin Monk, and maybe a Jackie Chan/Brue Lee style martial artist with nun-chucks. Make them modernish pehaps but more ancient or traditional could work. Also an Indian themed hero and for an Elder I'd go with a Kali type 6 armed looking lady. Make her large and nasty. She is Kali. Give her a high priest sort of like that high priest in the Temple of Doom movie. Think that cult but vampires. That is a whole expansion. Lastly the continent of Africa should have something and/or South America and/or a Mesoamerican Mayan "bat lord" or Aztec theme. For African I am not talking Egyptian but more full on tribal and instead of the whole 'bat, wolf' concept go with African animals like Hyena, Lions maybe, and have some witch doctor type elder much like the white elder vampire.

Another idea that is fruitful is the Loa and a Baron Samedi type vampire. Think zombies and think Voodoo. yes, Zombies which are great sculpts unlike Zombicide which, truth be told, are ok and they work but compared to scupts like these suck.

Now, that said, how about Vampires who are necromancers which if you know Whitewolf they have a whole clan like that. So you can do an expanion with a Necromancer elder and other necromantic type vampires, plus Walking Corpses, yes zombies, and if you make them awesome miniatures people will buy them for other games possibly to use as a replacement so include like 20 or 30 Zombies if possible, at least include 16, but if you can swing 20. That means an Elder, 6 elite necromancer vampires, and like 20 zombies. The Zombies are like the crawlers and burrowers. They are a constant but low threat but one that can potentially overwhelm. If the sculpts are great, sell in a pack of 20 just by themselves. People can buy them and use them for another game OR to just add to their own game if they just want a lot of zombies.

You might do at least 3 sculpts of zombies. Make one a somewhat larger variety (think zombicide and the 'fatties', but they types like 'toxic' and 'beserker' and something called a 'skinner' which means if you kill the zombie it comes back as a crawler). Imagine in this game if you kill a zombie and replace it with a crawler, much like the crawler vampires, which adds a nuance but again they are a pain that will add up. You can just make standard walkers, a larger variety and perhaps a deck of Zombie cards so if the players want they can upgrade the zombie so they are tougher (have 2 health or life), or some type of damage absorption so you must deal out 2 damage to inflict 1 damage or something like that. Also some type of beserk option so they gain +1 action or make them have a running burst +1 area movement. No need to make fifty types of scults just cards that offer upgrade options. Perhaps players can select one for that game and all zombies have it like +1 move, or +1 life point or +1 action or one ability for one sculpt and one ability for that larger 'fatty sculpt' and if you go with three sculpts again, more variety. You only need like 4 to 6 cards with those simple but effective upgrades and say you did have three type sculpts that is 3 abilities players could add variety in play, add difficulty and not need 6 or 7 or more types of sculpts. You really don't need it but having two or three is very useful.

Perhaps an elite Abomination type zombie equivalent to a master vampire. Remember zombies are the minions of vampires. Oh,and lastly.

How about humans who work for the Vampires. I suppose those thralls work, but perhaps some humans who are more like the players and have weapons and/or ranged weapons like guns. I know it will increase the difficulty but its an idea to consider especially for a more Blade themed approach or expansion.

Werewolves are cool and all, but Zombicide already did them in Wolfsburg. Kinda. I'd rather see a mixed bag of things that go bump in the night. Witches, Trolls, Skinwalkers/Shapeshifters, Mummies, Ghouls, Spirits/Shades and so on. Although I wouldn't turn down an expansion of just Werewolves.
