Yes, also hoping for something HPL-related from FFG today. Would another scenario be asking for too much? whistle

I hope this isn't too off-topic, but I'd like to read one of Lovecraft's stories today in celebration. Does anyone know which one ties in most closely with MoM2e?

I would suggest The Shadow over Innsmouth. But many of the others involve strange old houses

You need to choose one of the MP3 download options to get it for £$0.

Yes, I can't recommend Dark Adventure Radio Theater enough. Extremely high production quality and The Shadow Over Innsmouth is my favorite one out of the five or six that I own. Check it out!

Rats in the Walls is certainly one of his best.
The Outsider is a good one and very short.
The Music of Erich Zann and Pickman's Model are both short and excellent.
The Colour Out of Space was the one he was proudest of.
The Shadow Out of Time, Thing On the Doorstep, The Dunwich Horror, and The Mountains of Madness are all "greatest hits".
The Call of Cthulhu is likely his most famous (though not a fave of mine).

There are some really good audiobooks/radio plays, but most (even the ones people are recommending here) are quite amateurish and hammy. It's very hard to find Lovecraft done well in film, audio, or even games. Here are a few that are a cut above:

The BBC did an excellent version of both
The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and
The Mountains of Madness

And there's an older audio version of the thing on the doorstep read by David Healy that is top notch if you can find it.

There's also a very good audio collection that's called "the Necronomicon" that includes both some of his best work and a selection of middling stuff - but is very well done.

Feel free to message me directly if you want to talk about it, I live on this stuff.

I have fond memories of all the stories in this list. I would add The Whisperer in Darkness.

Wish some of these companies at least acknowledged the man that basically gave them an IP that they ride into the ground lol
